Listening to your favorite songs is a good way to start your week. I don’t really stick to a particular genre, sometimes I listen to pop songs, rock songs, depends upon my mood.

I would like to share with you a song that I like since it reminds me of my father who works abroad. He comes home yearly, but only for a month or two and all the remaining months he is far away from us, in a foreign land, working so that we can go to school.

So here is the song, Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Like my father’s come to pass
Seven years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are

As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Ring out the bells again
Like we did when spring began
Wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are

As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Like my father’s come to pass
Twenty years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends
